What is a Content Strategy? It is your plan for business content. From your website, social media to blogs and e-newsletters. We can also work together to develop a social media strategy (mini or maxi) that clearly lays out your strategy for how to approach social media. Once you have these in place you will be better positioned to communicate with your customers and provide them with more value long-term.
BLOGS, E-newsletters, PROFILES
It is often a struggle to keep in regular contact with your customers about the services or products you provide or other topical issues in your industry. Content tools like blogs, e-newsletters, profiles are invaluable to maintain regular communication with your customers, especially in the current climate created by COVID-19.
One of the most important promotional tools for your business is a website. The old saying holds true “content is king.” I like to work with business owners to tell their stories. Writing content also requires an understanding of search engines and the right keywords (common terms) to use when people are searching online. I help you to be clear and concise about who you are and your business services.
Case studieS, E-BOOKS, REPORTS
Larger documents like case studies, e-books, annual reports etc also require great content. All of these documents can provide effective marketing through your business website. Any research to support these documents can also be undertaken along with selecting the right images or tools such as graphs, diagrams etc.

Case Study – Gwenda Harvey Photography WEBSITE CONTENT
Gwenda Harvey is a commercial photographer who wanted help to tell her story. Developing content for her ‘about me’ page involved interviewing her to get to know more about the services she provides and her point of difference from other photographers. It was also about being authentic and sharing her personal journey with her audience.
Case Study – EIT Ka Hao te Rangatahi TRAINING PROGRAMME
EIT Tairawhiti conducted an ecological management training programme for young people at Ruatoria on the East Coast of the North Island. The training was a collaboration with the Department of Conservation and local iwi. The case study involved analysing a substantial amount of information and writing a case study according to the funding provider’s expectations. I also selected a number of images provided to support the case study.
Charles Barrie, DOC Partnership Advisor
I highly recommend Sandra. She took the time to understand what I needed for my business and asks specific questions to gather all the information to help her write my “about me” story on my website. She saved me the 5+ hours of my time trying to write it myself, I’m a visual content creator, not the best wordsmith. I will be hiring her again in the future. Sandra is approachable and very professional.

Working with Sandra was a pleasure, and produced a great result. Sandra was asked to assist the EIT/DOC training programme Ka Hao te Rangatahi to produce a case study for the programme. Sandra conducted interviews, collated and edited a large quantity of information and images and generated a clear narrative to weave it all together. I would work with First Chapter again any time.
