Turanga gardens, Gisborne

As grassroots as it gets

I have joined Gizzy Local to write stories about the people in Tairawhiti.

Read my latest story on the grassroots community project that is Turanga gardens, Gisborne. The gardens are on the top of Cook Hospital Hill overlooking the city. The project was started by the Turanga Lions Club in 2001 and a small group of volunteers is continuing to look after the gardens.
