I was fortunate to work on the Pakihi Track part of the Motu Trails and Rere Falls Trail.
The Pakihi Track project provided the opportunity to tell unique stories of the history of the respective areas and the people. These projects involved project planning, research, copy writing, sourcing images and working with other parties, local iwi, Historic Places Trust, DOC staff, historian and designers.
While the Rere Falls Trail project involved research of records online, Tairawhiti Museum and the HB Williams Memorial Library. Copy was written for the signage at Eastwoodhill Arboretum, Rere Falls, Rere Rockslide, and Koranga Valley School to provide for the cyclists using the trail who would be stopping for a short time. This was supported with the relevant images to tell the stories of the times.
