Kia ora I am an East Coast girl. Born in Napier, Hawke’s Bay, and raised in Wairoa before moving to Gisborne Turanganui-a-Kiwa where I have spent most of my life. I am a storyteller with a focus on nature stories including heritage, tourism, and the environment.
With a range of experience in communications, public relations and over 20+ years of working experience at the Department of Conservation, I bring a wealth of experience. I love helping people with their writing or research projects, whether big or small, I’m willing to give it a go. Wanting to focus on nature writing I went out on my own less than two years ago, growing this business from side hustle to a full-time gig.
My qualifications include a Diploma in Public Relations and Communication Management and a current Public Relations Institute of New Zealand (PRINZ) Practice Certificate. I am currently studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Communications with the Open Polytechnic.
I continue to remain current in the field through membership of the Public Relations Institute of NZ and the Interpretation Network of NZ. I am also a member of Business Network International which has been a great way to meet like-minded people.
So, if you need the services of a Content Writer I’d love to chat with you over a coffee or zoom call.
